Designed as a more traditional performance style board, the Snapback is a quad-fin (or singlefin) step-up, with many of the trappings of a modern Shorts. The fuller nose reduces rocker and cuts length for tight surfing under the lip. The high point in the rocker is shifted forward to meet the wide point in the template under the chest, the tail pulled in to a rounded pin for greater hold and control mixed with subtle bottom contours. The Snapback should be ridden with a hint more volume than your standard Shorts. This has been my go-to performance board in quality waves, with plenty of paddle power, speed of the mark and control in the tube. The straighter outline and fuller nose allows surfing from further up the board when you really want to drive it. This is my go-to performance board in fast hollow waves and good Kirra days.
